Taste of Rhinebeck raises nearly $25,000 for Northern Dutchess Hospital
A record-setting number of venues, along with world-class food, made the recent Taste of Rhinebeck culinary crawl a success, according to Dawn Morrison, organizer of this Northern Dutchess Hospital fundraiser.
The village’s Garden, Mill, and East and West Market streets transformed into a food festival on Tuesday, April 17, with 25 locations where people could sample small plates, desserts and beverages. The crowd favorites included a Peppermint Patty sandwiched between two Oreos, a shrimp roll on a Chinese steamed bun and a warm cauliflower soup – perfect for the chilly evening.
“The $24,500 raised at the 14th annual Taste will be invested into patient care right here in Rhinebeck,” said Morrison, executive director of the NDH Foundation. “We’re so grateful that the village’s culinary treasures and community continues to support us year after year, rain or shine.”
